On Holiday – part 2

With renewed enthusiasm I got stuck into the rear tub. The plan was to lay chequer plate rubber matting in the back to deaden the noise, improve the thermal properties and help it look a bit better. The matting went down really well, with a day spent measuring, thinking, measuring again all the matt panels fitted nicely. These were secured in place with right angle 25mm ali bar which adds to final look.

The final look was better than I expected and the reduction in noise, especially drumming and we cruise along fast roads is reduced further. The last part of the rear tub was to fit the aux heater. This proved difficult and fun making for a rewarding afternoon.

Shameless plug for the supplier, these rubber chequerplate sheets came from Drew at WrightOffRoad. Drop him an email at sales_AT_wrightoffroad_DOT_com.

On Holiday

This week I took a long relaxing five days out of the office. The phone rang a few times but then it was important so I am not worried. What does an Information Security Officer do when on holiday? Well, I have been meaning to get stuck into the landrover for some time now so this week presented an excellent opportunity, if only the sun holds.

I got stuck into tidying up the from. I recently fitted the acoustic matting system from Wright Offroad  in the front and the result is excellent. The noise has dropped and it looks quite neat.

The end result is very pleasing and seems to be helping keep some of the warmth in too. Starting on the back tomorrow. If your intrested in these excellent matts, drop Drew and email at sales AT wrightoffroad DOT com.
