2730	10570	So Dark Tangent, who runs all of DEF CON, says that it's an hour and a half until the closing
10570	18830	ceremonies of DEF CON. With the conclusion of Ruben's speech, that's the end of the content
18830	23630	that we have planned for the Monero Village. So thank you very much, Ruben. Let's give him
23750	32550	a digital round of applause. You're done. You had your chance.
34250	35530	See you guys.
38390	43490	Now you're just left with me once more. It's just you and me. Whereas before,
43490	48170	if you ever went to the physical DEF CON, it was me up on a stage shouting about how
48170	53450	things went well and how we were proud of everything that happened to bring us all together.
54930	61650	Now I don't have to be on a stage. Now I can look you in the digital eye and it's just like you and
61650	73610	me alone, together, having a chat face-to-face on the same level. If this is creepy to you, just
73610	81610	let it sink in. Let it be. It doesn't have to be weird. No, but for real, this was a lot of work.
81610	88450	Monero Village was a lot of work for a lot of people. It was new to everybody. It was brand
88450	94070	new to everybody. All of DEF CON was digital. And I think that was definitely something that
95870	101330	last year, nobody was expecting for sure. And kind of leading up to this whole event,
101330	104590	especially after we knew, okay, this was digital, we are invited back.
104590	108890	What does this mean for us? There was a lot of people that kind of
108890	116630	stood up to the plate, whatever, I'm mangling that phrase, stepped up to the plate and decided
116630	122190	to pitch in and try to make this kind of thing happen. So we definitely want to thank AJS and
122190	130050	SGP, who took a bulk of the responsibility for the stream that you guys have been seeing for the past
130050	136190	three days. You know, getting it to work with the Jitsi, with OBS, with streaming simultaneously to
136190	144070	YouTube and to Twitch. Big round of applause to them. That was invaluable. You know, we have
144070	149570	people like Scott, who was working with the scheduling. Michael, who was pretty much everywhere,
149570	154250	his fingers in everything, and working with the hardware badges and stuff for you guys.
154450	161230	This was a lot of work for a lot of people. So from the bottom of my heart, especially, but I
161230	166530	know definitely our users and watchers who appreciate the content, they give you all
166530	174030	kudos. And really, really mad applause to DEF CON also for sticking with it, despite the fact, like,
174030	179130	okay, brand new thing, brand new format, brand new everything. We're still gonna do the best we can
179130	184230	to make a good conference. And I think, I don't know, I've had fun these past few days. It's been
184230	189210	new experience. But I had fun. And I hope everybody else has had fun as well.
191010	197770	We will be... the previous days are now up on YouTube. I know we were having some issues with
197770	204550	the Friday stream. Only, like, the last two hours were there for a while. But it should all be up
204550	210170	there now. And all of this is gonna be here for forever. For everybody to see on the Monero
210170	216230	community workgroup channel. And I think DEF CON is gonna have the videos as well. For the ones that
216230	223090	didn't quite go as planned, for example, my workshop in which I was doing sending, receiving,
223090	231290	and proving transactions in the Monero wallet, the stuff was very small and hard to see. So,
231290	234790	I will be rerecording that. For a lot of the things that didn't quite go as planned, we'll
234790	241670	try to rerecord those and get those up and label them as kind of a DEF CON talk.
242350	247310	So, be on the lookout for those. And we do apologize for the things here and there that,
247310	252510	you know, the little niggles that didn't exactly go as planned. But I think overall everything went
252510	263710	okay. So, yeah. One last time, just because... just because I say it all the time. Go to
263710	269130	really cool design that we made for the stuff because it's gonna be scrapped. And next year,
269130	274130	I'm gonna have something new. And in an hour and a half, we're gonna have the closing ceremony for
274130	283150	DEF CON as a whole, which is gonna be taking place at twitch.tv slash DEF CON org. So, be sure to
283630	291450	check that out. Send Justin and AJS and the DEF CON people and the goons and stuff a whole bunch
291450	297350	of applause and tell them thank you so much. I definitely do. I'm not gonna go on for half an
297350	304550	hour. I'm gonna go ahead and cut it here. Monero Village is done, guys. We made it happen.
304570	307930	Congratulations to everybody. Thank you so much to everybody. Thank you to all of our people
307930	316270	watching both now and in the future. I see you 2021 person that's watching this March 3rd 2021.
316270	321370	Maybe your name is Andrew. Who knows? But I see you. And you're definitely valid. You're a good
321370	326250	person. Thank you, everybody. It's been a blast. We'll catch you later. We'll still be on in the
326250	334670	Discord if you want to talk with us for a little bit until the closing ceremony is done. Bye!
