[00:00.000 --> 00:07.800] Welcome to DEF CON 28. It's not in Las Vegas anymore. It is online. It's digital. It's [00:07.800 --> 00:12.140] free for everybody to take a look at all the content that we're going to have. So that's [00:12.140 --> 00:20.440] fantastic. I, for one, am okay with having a break from Las Vegas for a year. But there [00:20.440 --> 00:25.740] is a ton, an absolute ton of things to do at DEF CON, not just at the Monero Village, [00:25.740 --> 00:32.560] but kind of just in general. So go to DEF CON.org and go through their schedule. There's [00:32.560 --> 00:39.360] so much stuff, guys. A lot of people have worked really hard to make a, I wouldn't say [00:39.540 --> 00:45.560] a similar experience, but a good experience for everybody in the digital way. So in case [00:45.560 --> 00:49.720] you didn't know, DEF CON has a Discord that you can join, and a whole bunch of the villages [00:49.720 --> 00:53.980] are there, like the Packet Hacking Village, AI Village, Red Team Village, Blue Team Village. [00:53.980 --> 00:57.740] There's a ton of villages on there. Please go check all that stuff out. And we've got [00:57.740 --> 01:05.060] our own place. We've got our own village. So hop on to the DEF CON Discord. If you go [01:05.060 --> 01:12.740] to MoneroVillage.org, MoneroVillage.org, you will see our schedule, right? We have things [01:12.740 --> 01:18.440] over the next three days that are going to be taking place from workshops to talks and [01:18.440 --> 01:23.680] all sorts of different things. The schedule will be updated because we got some last-minute [01:23.680 --> 01:30.680] speakers. So that schedule is going to be updated. So be keeping an eye on it every, [01:30.680 --> 01:34.920] you know, in fact, just refresh it every five seconds of your life this next weekend. Just [01:34.920 --> 01:39.800] go ahead and refresh and see what happens. Okay. I'm getting the word that the Twitch [01:39.800 --> 01:46.500] is now up also. So absolutely fantastic. We're just thrilled to have Twitch with us. So MoneroVillage.org [01:47.360 --> 01:52.220] is where you're going to find all of our things. So I'm actually just going to very briefly [01:52.220 --> 01:59.020] take a quick look at what we got scheduled for today. Right after me is going to be Dr. [01:59.020 --> 02:05.100] Daniel Kim. He's going to be giving our keynote. Going to be talking about Monero. And I'm [02:05.100 --> 02:09.180] going to... I'm not going to spoil anything. I'm just going to let that sit there. You're [02:09.180 --> 02:14.540] going to want to see him. He does some fantastic work. He's a great speaker. And he really, [02:14.540 --> 02:18.460] really drives the point home of what Monero is and what it does and why it's important. [02:19.160 --> 02:25.680] Coming up after that, we've got Artic Mine, who's going to be talking with us about the [02:25.680 --> 02:30.140] title is Proposed Mitigation Measures to Address a Disruption, such as the Economic Impact [02:30.140 --> 02:36.060] of COVID-19 on Transaction Capacity and Fees in Monero. Michael, after that, is going to [02:36.060 --> 02:41.440] be talking about the InterVillage badge, which if you didn't know, there is a badge page [02:41.440 --> 02:46.260] on MoneroVillage.org as well, with some websites that you can go to purchase the badge if you [02:46.260 --> 02:51.500] were interested in that. And then I will be running a workshop about the Monero Wallet [02:51.500 --> 02:56.040] Basics. So this is definitely one to get your friends into if they're like, oh, yeah, I [02:56.040 --> 03:01.220] like Monero, but I don't really know how to use it or how all of it works. I'm going to [03:01.220 --> 03:06.000] be running through the wallet software. How do I send something? How do I receive something? [03:06.000 --> 03:10.280] How do I prove that I made a transaction? So just kind of the wallet basics. That's [03:10.280 --> 03:14.220] something you're going to want to take a look at and get your friends and family on board. [03:14.840 --> 03:22.500] And then to finish off this day, we've got a meme competition led by JustinSGP. So if you [03:22.500 --> 03:27.920] are a memer, if you are internet savvy, if you got any sort of design skills, or even if you [03:27.920 --> 03:32.780] have no design skills, then by all means, come join us for that. So MoneroVillage.org is where [03:32.780 --> 03:37.160] we're going to find all of these things. We've got the schedule going on there. We are streaming [03:37.160 --> 03:41.820] both on Twitch and YouTube. So find something that is comfortable for you, something that you [03:41.820 --> 03:49.460] like. And once again, DEF CON itself has a ton of extra other content. So please be sure to check [03:49.460 --> 03:55.120] those things out. Because there's going to be a lot of good stuff. I'm actually trying to... [03:56.300 --> 04:01.120] because I'm not running a physical village this year, I can kind of sneak off and maybe watch a [04:01.120 --> 04:07.620] few things at the same time and abandon you Monero nerds. But yeah, that's basically it. [04:08.040 --> 04:12.200] If you recall, in previous years, they gave me like an hour and 30 minutes to do this kind of [04:12.200 --> 04:16.680] thing. And that was way too much. And I see that even now, 10 minutes is kind of a lot, [04:16.680 --> 04:22.640] because I still got four minutes to go. But I'm not going to bore you guys with more of me. [04:23.580 --> 04:27.220] We're going to want to get to the real deal. We're going to want to get to Dr. Daniel Kim. [04:27.260 --> 04:35.740] So I'm going to pass it off to him a bit prematurely. And maybe he can use this [04:35.940 --> 04:39.700] a little bit extra time to kind of talk about his credentials. Because they're pretty big, [04:39.700 --> 04:42.880] they're pretty cool. He's kind of the big shot on campus everywhere he goes. [04:43.300 --> 04:49.820] So welcome. Welcome one more time. DEF CON 28, online, digital, free for everybody to take a [04:49.820 --> 04:55.760] look at. I love you guys. Glad that you're all here. Thanks for joining us.
