[00:00.000 --> 00:04.560] We're at the Hacker Warehouse, and I'm getting introduced to a ton of the different badges [00:04.560 --> 00:09.320] that people have created all over Connaught. I wanted to show them some of them off to you [00:09.320 --> 00:13.440] right now. And a lot of these we've looked at before, but some of them are just so cool. [00:13.540 --> 00:18.660] I think the Make It Hacking has to be one of my favorites, but they're all so cool. [00:18.680 --> 00:22.220] The Make It Hacking, when on the surface, it doesn't look that interesting. It's like, [00:22.220 --> 00:28.280] okay, there's some barcodes. But what this does is it's probably one of the more dangerous things [00:28.280 --> 00:35.280] to walk around in Vegas with, because it will set off almost every alarm when you walk out [00:35.280 --> 00:40.800] of a store. Where they have the little safety alarms that go off. Probably not the best one [00:40.800 --> 00:47.700] to wander around with, but definitely some shenanigans to be had with it. [00:47.700 --> 00:54.360] Some of the other ones, which I really like here. I always love Brayden's e-challenge coins. [00:54.360 --> 00:59.960] He put so much effort into such a small device, and they also kind of look great on your shelves. [01:00.000 --> 01:04.960] This here is a cool, like Simon Says-like game, which is fully functional. You just [01:04.960 --> 01:10.320] have to put the battery in. And then there's a whole story which follows a character that [01:10.320 --> 01:17.100] he's been building over years of doing these challenge coins. There's so many of them. [01:17.100 --> 01:21.540] The other one I want to point out was the Mindset Badge, the Hacker Mindset Badge. [01:21.540 --> 01:26.740] This is Garrett's badge because he's been writing a book on the Hacker Mindset. And what's cool about [01:26.740 --> 01:33.460] this one is you can't actually pre-order the book yet, but through the badge sale, you get to pre-order [01:33.460 --> 01:39.240] the book. Which is really cool. By buying the badge, you get a pre-order for the book. And this [01:39.240 --> 01:45.620] one has a full Raspberry Pi on it, so it can simulate keyboards and HID attacks. But then the [01:45.620 --> 01:51.440] same thing, it also looks super nice around Conference for Da Food Up. And then it has a bunch of [01:51.440 --> 01:56.080] different white modes on it. So not only does it look good, but you get a full Raspberry Pi, which [01:56.080 --> 02:03.440] is fully hackable as well. Like this one. This one's really cool. But just going through them, [02:03.440 --> 02:09.480] even like with the new, the DEF CON badge this year, you have these add-on pieces that stick in [02:09.480 --> 02:15.600] and blow up. So it's been really interesting all around CON, seeing what people do with the SAO. [02:15.600 --> 02:22.640] Or I guess in this case, the slide-in. This one adds on two SAO ports onto the badge that get [02:22.640 --> 02:28.420] powered. So you can continually just customize your badge. But the one that caught my interest [02:28.420 --> 02:35.320] is the sneaky badge. But right before we get to that one, I want to cover this one, which looks [02:35.320 --> 02:40.780] so cool. So many of these don't have batteries in it, so I can't turn it on. This is the Secure [02:42.300 --> 02:48.720] Autonomous Surveillance System badge. And what's really cool about this one is it's plugged in with [02:48.940 --> 02:55.560] a LoRa radio, which communicates with the other badges of this type. So when more of these badges [02:55.560 --> 03:01.180] get together, and at CON there's quite a few of them, they interact and it will do different light [03:01.180 --> 03:06.160] patterns depending on how many of your friends you're around. I think this one's really neat. [03:06.160 --> 03:11.400] But the one which I find most interesting, because I've never seen one like this before, [03:11.400 --> 03:17.140] is the sneaky badge, which is fully customized where you can slide out these letters and slide [03:17.140 --> 03:23.740] them back in. But it's not just a pretty badge. There's a full challenge inside it, which is also [03:23.740 --> 03:28.540] built on the Raspberry Pi. Not only does it look really cool and you get the full letter packs, [03:28.540 --> 03:34.800] but the way you fulfill challenges inside the game is pulling out the letters and sticking [03:34.800 --> 03:39.680] them in for it to recognize different letter types and unlock challenges. And then there's [03:39.680 --> 03:45.220] other challenges within. So I've been seeing people all over conference customizing these [03:45.220 --> 03:51.080] with their handles and using them as a nice name badge. All really cool. I am so curious to see [03:51.080 --> 03:57.560] what other badges exist at DEF CON, but for now, all of these. Thank you Garrett for allowing us [03:57.560 --> 04:02.180] to use them at the Hacker Warehouse. I know they're for sale there. Thank you so much. [04:02.180 --> 04:04.520] Thanks for watching and hack on!
