Early May. Three weeks since the book launch and the reception is, on every measurable signal, the most positive of the five books. The trade-press pickup has been substantively above the 2024 book; the security-community engagement on the substantive content has been, on the customer-and-partner conversations through the past several weeks, more sustained than the previous books' have produced; the customer-engagement opportunities that have surfaced through the launch programme are converting at higher pace than the prior cycles.
The customer-portfolio. Six vCISO clients carrying through. Eighteen SOC customers. Thirty-one EmilyAI commercial customers (added one in Q2 to date, with two further in late-stage commercial discussion for closure in May or early June). The team is at forty-four. The April-and-early-May revenue is on the year-plan trajectory.
The threat-landscape Q2 picture. The continuing post-Salt-Typhoon and post-Treasury-BeyondTrust state-actor activity continues at sustained operational tempo. The continuing post-2025-UK-retail-wave Scattered-Spider-pattern activity has, through Q1-Q2, migrated toward adjacent customer-organisation categories — the early evidence is targeting professional-services and managed-service-provider organisations across UK-and-international scope, with the operational pattern remaining substantively similar to the 2024-2025 retail-sector campaigns. The customer-portfolio defensive-posture work continues to address the specific cluster-targeting-pattern at the relevant customer-organisations.
The mid-year planning cycle. The H1 close is approaching with the customer-portfolio operational picture in steady state. The H2 planning will incorporate the continuing regulatory-environment progression (the EU AI Act mid-2026 high-risk-AI staged-compliance deadline, the continuing UK Cyber Resilience Act legislative progression, the post-NIS2-year-two enforcement-environment), the continuing product-roadmap execution (EmilyAI v3.6 GA in Q2, v3.7 in Q4), and the continuing customer-engagement-and-strategic-work cadence.
The personal note. The book-launch programme through the past three weeks has been the principal personal-strategic activity. The continuing customer-engagement work continues to be the substantive day-to-day. The conference cadence ahead — Infosec Europe in June, Black Hat USA in August — is on plan. The blog continues; the post-count for 2026 to date is twenty, on track for a 45+ year-total.
The work continues. The team continues. The customers continue. Onward.
