Punta Chullera.
Punta Chullera is a small rocky cape in Manilva, close to the boundary between the provinces of Málaga and Cádiz and about 2.5 miles from the mouth of the Río Guadiaro. Wikipedia describes a reef ledge (restinga) running south-east from the point a good way under the water. The round Torre de la Chullera watchtower stands near the tip.

No published depth range was found for the dive.
No dive-specific account of conditions at Punta Chullera was found. It is the closest of the Estepona-area sites to the Strait of Gibraltar. Buceo Estepona says it has made many dives from its boat along the Sabinillas (Manilva) coast, and describes the whole area as fed by the Strait, with plankton-rich water and a mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic species. Protection: a spatial query of the EEA Natura 2000 dataset (2024) found no Natura 2000 site at the point; the nearest marine sites are ES6120034 'Fondos Marinos Estuario del Río Guadiaro' at the Guadiaro mouth and ES6170036 'Fondos Marinos de la Bahía de Estepona' off Estepona. No site-specific diving rules were found.
How it got there.
The Torre de la Chullera is a round watchtower about 10 m high on a base 7.45 m across, dated by Wikipedia to the early 16th century and protected as a Bien de Interés Cultural. Manilva council says Chullera has two watchtowers, the older one from Nasrid times, and that the name Torre de la Chullera already appears in 1497 in the Catholic Monarchs' instructions for guarding the coast of the Bishopric of Málaga.
